Paolo is the Chief Information Security Officer and VP of IT Operations for Tate & Lyle, a global provider of distinctive, high quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage and other industries. Through our large-scale, efficient manufacturing plants, Tate & Lyle uses innovative technology to turn raw materials into distinctive, high quality ingredients for our customers. Paolo is responsible for enterprise-wide information security program, as well as for IT Operations.

Previously, Paolo held the Global Chief Information Security Officer role at Mondelēz International where he established and maintained Mondelēz’s corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets were adequately protected.

Before joining Mondelēz International, Paolo was the Chief Information Security Officer and Head of IT Global Design for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. He was responsible for establishing the Information Security strategy to ensure information systems were adequately protected. He ensured that the global information security program was in alignment with business objectives, and he defined the security priorities and ensured technology roadmaps address existing and future threats. He had CTO responsibilities for North America, and he also led the IT plant operations for FCA in North America for several years.

Prior to his relocation to the United States, Paolo worked as Chief Technology Officer for Fiat Powertrain Technologies where he gained significant experience with security and technology, also thanks to the participation into multiple Joint Ventures with companies around the world. Before starting to work in the Architecture and Infrastructure, Paolo worked in the security area for Fiat-GM Powertrain Joint Venture, earning the CISSP and the CISA certifications.
